Your Sofa Usage Guidelines

This charter aims to help you use and maintain your sofa correctly in order to preserve its comfort, its aesthetics and the validity of your warranties.

By using your sofa, you agree to the recommendations below.

1. Sofa installation

  • The sofa is delivered in several modules , equipped with pre-installed hooks .

  • The assembly consists of fitting the elements together using these hooks.

  • No excessive force or specific tools should be used.

  • Incorrect assembly (parts not fitted together properly, modules forced, structure twisted, etc.) can cause damage that is not covered by the warranty .

Before installation, check that there is enough space (width of doors, stairs, corridors, etc.) to handle the elements without bumping them.

2. General Terms of Use

Your sofa is designed for normal daily use in a living room.
To ensure its longevity, please observe the following points:

  • Do not jump or fall violently onto the seat.

  • Do not sit on the junctions between two modules or on the edge of structures.

  • Armrests are not meant for sitting or supporting body weight: they are solely decorative and comfort features.

  • Recommended load: 90–100 kg maximum per seat .

Any abnormal use resulting in damage to the structure, armrest or mechanism will not be covered under the warranty.

3. Seat distribution & HR-35 foam

Our sofas use high resilience foams (HR-35), offering firmness, elasticity and durability.

  • With time and regular use, a gradual loss of density (up to about 40%) is normal : the seat becomes softer, this is not a defect.

  • To avoid localized deformations, we strongly recommend:

    • don't always sit in the same place ,

    • alternate the places used,

    • Regularly knead and shape the cushions to restore their volume (like a quality pillow).

4. Environment: light, heat & fabrics

To preserve the fabric and structure:

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (bay window, veranda, etc.): this can cause discoloration of fabrics and wooden parts.

  • Do not place your sofa too close to a heat source (radiator, stove, fireplace…): this can damage the fabrics, foams and wooden elements.

  • Be careful with heavily dyed clothes , such as raw denim: they can bleed onto the light-colored surface (color transfer phenomenon).

  • Some textiles (blankets, throws "that pill") can cause pilling, fibers, micro-scratches on some fabrics, which is not covered by the warranty.

5. Maintenance & Cleaning

Proper maintenance is essential to keep your sofa in good condition.

5.1. General Rules

  • Always dust regularly (vacuum cleaner with soft nozzle, textile brush, etc.).

  • Never use harsh products (bleach, solvents, household products not intended for upholstery).

  • Always test on an inconspicuous area before applying a product to a large surface.

5.2. Stain Removal

  • In case of a stain, act quickly :

    • dab gently with a clean cloth (do not rub hard);

    • Then clean a wider area around the stain to avoid halos.

  • Do not soak the fabric deeply : if the foam absorbs too much water or product, it can cause deformation, odors or fabric detachment.

Damage resulting from improper cleaning is not covered by the warranty.

6. Leather, imitation leather & sensitive materials coverings

For sofas made of leather, imitation leather or delicate materials:

  • Avoid prolonged contact with:

    • perspiration ,

    • animal or vegetable fats ,

    • lotions , perfumes , alcohol , solvents , etc.

  • Use only cleaning products suitable for the type of coating.

Cracks, hardening or discoloration caused by unsuitable products or repeated contact with aggressive substances are not covered by the warranty.

7. Sleeping function

Corner sofas are designed as occasional sleeping accommodations and not as a main bed :

  • the sleeping surface is naturally firmer than a bedroom mattress;

  • Occasional use as a bed is intended; daily use as a bed may accelerate wear and tear and is not considered a defect.

8. Relax function (if applicable)

On models equipped with a retractable footrest / relaxation function :

  • this function is only intended to support the legs in a relaxed position;

  • The footrest must under no circumstances be used for:

    • sit,

    • standing, climbing or jumping on it,

    • to support the entire body weight.

Improper use can cause damage:

  • the mechanism,

  • the actuators,

  • the load-bearing structure.

These damages are not covered by the warranty.

9. Packaging after delivery

  • It is recommended to unpack the sofa within 5 days of delivery.

  • Prolonged storage in the packaging can cause:

    • tissue deformations ,

    • brands ,

    • slight variations in color.

These phenomena, linked to prolonged packaging, cannot be blamed on the manufacturer or the seller.

10. This does not constitute a defect

The following points are considered normal and not subject to dispute :

  • slight loss of firmness of the foams over time;

  • Dimensional tolerance of ± 5 cm on the dimensions of the sofa;

  • slight differences in color shades between sample, photo and actual product;

  • presence of additional seams on the seats due to the width of the fabric rolls;

  • occasional dull noise under the seat on some models with high legs (casters or guides that hit);

  • pilling, lint, micro-scratches caused by textiles or abrasive objects.

11. Warranty & Claims

For the warranty to apply:

  • the sofa must be used in accordance with this charter;

  • In case of a problem, the Client must:

    • report the situation quickly.

    • do not intentionally worsen the condition of the furniture,
