How does the delivery of your sofa work?

At Kings Canapé, we know that waiting for your sofa is a bit like waiting for Christmas. We do everything we can to ensure that delivery goes as smoothly as possible: fast, careful, and without any unpleasant surprises.


Our delivery areas

We primarily deliver to the following areas:

Metropolitan France (excluding Corsica)

Delivery costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on your address and your shopping cart.

Europe

We also deliver to Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands .

Delivery times

Custom Sofas

6 to 8 weeks on average from:

  • Your order has been validated
  • OR receipt of your deposit (for remote orders)

These delivery times are indicative and may vary depending on the period (high demand, holidays, etc.). We will keep you informed in case of any anticipated delays.

Free samples

2 to 5 business days after your request.


How does it work in practice?

Step 1: We're warning you

Once your sofa is ready, the carrier will contact you by phone or email to arrange a delivery date and time slot.

Deliveries generally take place from Monday to Saturday, between 6am and 11pm (depending on the carrier's routes).

Step 2: D-Day

The driver will deliver your sofa in several modular packages (to facilitate transport and passage through stairs).

Important: Some modules can weigh up to 70–100 kg . Ensure that access is possible (door width, stairs, corridors, elevator…).

Our delivery options

Option 1: Standard delivery (default)

Delivery to the foot of the building or in front of your house.

The driver will leave the packages outside. It will then be up to you to bring them up to your home (or to get help from relatives, neighbors, etc.).

Option 2: Assistance to the living room (optional)

The driver can help you carry the packages up to the room of your choice .

Namely:

  • The driver is alone; he helps you but doesn't carry everything by himself.
  • This option must be requested at the time of ordering.
  • Additional charge: between €30 and €50 depending on the configuration

What is NOT included:

  • The complete assembly of the sofa
  • The final placement in the room
  • Packaging disposal

Option 3: Complete assembly (only in Alsace)

If you live in Alsace , we can offer you a complete assembly service.

Is the assembly complicated?

Not at all! Our sofas are designed for quick and easy assembly.

  • Modules equipped with pre-installed hooks
  • Easy interlocking system, no special tools required
  • Clear instructions are provided with your sofa.

Generally, 15 to 30 minutes is enough to assemble your sofa (depending on the configuration).

Tip: Get a second person to help you handle the modules more easily.


Important: Check your access before delivery

Before ordering, make sure that the packages can pass through:

  • Width of doors and corridors
  • Width and height of the stairs
  • Presence or absence of an elevator
  • Access restrictions (keypad, gate, floor…)

The dimensions and weight of the packages are available on the product pages or upon request.

Kings Canapé cannot be held responsible for a delivery failure due to access that is too narrow or unsuitable.


What if you are absent on the day of delivery?

The carrier will notify you in advance of the date and time slot.

If you are absent or if access is impossible (incomplete information, incorrect address…), a second visit can be arranged .

Please note: You will be responsible for the cost of the second delivery attempt (except in the case of an error by the carrier).

Our advice: Make sure you are available and reachable on the scheduled day.


Verification upon receipt: a crucial step!

What you must do in the presence of the driver:

  1. Inspect all packages before signing the delivery note.
  2. In case of visible damage (torn cardboard box, impact, crushing marks, etc.):
    • Take photos of the packages and/or damaged items.
    • Note any specific reservations on the delivery slip (e.g., "package no. 2 dented on the left side")
    • Contact us immediately after the driver leaves.

This is essential so that we can activate the transport insurance and process your claim quickly.

Damage discovered after unpacking

Contact us within 24 hours by email with supporting photos: contact@kingscanape.com

Keep the original packaging , it may be requested to process the claim.


What happens if there's a problem?

If your sofa arrives damaged or does not match your order (color, model, configuration…), we will find a solution together .

Depending on the situation, you will be offered:

  • Repair (replacement of a damaged part)
  • Partial or total replacement of the sofa
  • Discount (if the damage is minor and you wish to keep the sofa)

We are here for you, and we do everything to ensure your satisfaction.
